My name is Hugo Figueira and I’m Web Designer, born and raised in Évora, Portugal. From an early age I’ve became very interested in Arts, Design and Architecture, without an idea that I would be a Designer some years later.
I’ve studied Design at the University of Évora, with focus on graphic and web design. Even before finishing my degree I started working on a business intelligence company, where I’ve been for two and a half years and where I acquired most of my knowledge in UI and UX. Back in 2015 I participated in the creation of a startup company, named Inforyou, where I was responsible for the visual identity and the web platform design and development.
I'm currently living in Lisbon since late 2015, when I started working in one of the largest office suply chains in the world, Staples Europe, working as Web Designer and Banner Coordinator.
I dedicate most of my free time to Photography and bringing back to life my 1971 VW Beetle, that belonged to my grandfather.
This is the short version of what I am! To know more about me get in touch or let’s grab a coffee to talk a little more...

Designer August 2013 - November 2015
Even before I finished my degree I've received an invite to start an internship at a Business Intelligence company based Brazil, that had a development center in my town. After a year as intern I’ve started to work as UI/UX Designer, where I learned a lot about the company and the business intelligence field. Because I worked side-by-side with developers I started to understand a little more about how a web platform is constructed and how it can behave, getting in touch with new technologies and programming languages I’ve never heard of. It's been a great journey and I've learned a lot since I've started my life as a designer.
I was responsible for:
I can design with ease an website, web platform or mobile apps.
My speciality is pixel perfect!
I care a lot about the user experience! So, in everithing I do, I try to deliver the best experience to make the user happy!
I also love to code! HTML, CSS and jQuery are my favourite. So, if you need I can design it and code it with ease!
On my work I try to deliver the best experience to the user, so Responsive Design is almost mandatory!
I also can do (almost) anything you need! Branding, Posters, Business Cards... you name it, I'll do it!
On my free time I do some photography jobs just for fun. Me and my camera are ready to do something you need.
